Description
One shiitake mushroom log inoculated in the spring of 2024. Inoculated shiitake logs will produce mushrooms for years in the spring, summer and fall before finally breaking down. They need to be kept in a shady spot outdoors, out of the sun and the wind, and off the ground. They must receive natural rainfall or occasional watering from a garden hose. This shiitake log has not yet been verified, i.e. its mycelium is still colonizing the log and has not yet produced mushrooms.
Logs are priced according to their overall size (combined length, diameter, and weight). Larger logs can be expected to produce for a longer period than smaller logs, which break down more quickly. Please contact us if you have any questions about the exact size of your log.
